All-In-One Cinema System:

The DJI Ronin 4D 8K combines a full-frame Zenmuse X9-8K camera, 4-axis stabilization, LiDAR focusing, and ProRes RAW recording into a single, unified system. Designed to replace complex multi-component setups, the 4D offers high-end image quality with dramatically faster on-set workflow.

Professional 8K Capture:

The X9-8K camera delivers up to 8K60 ProRes RAW, 8K30 ProRes 422 HQ, and 4K high-frame-rate recording. With 14.7 stops of dynamic range and dual native ISO, it provides clean, cinematic images suitable for commercial, narrative, and VFX pipelines.

4-Axis Stabilization:

In addition to 3-axis gimbal stabilization, the Ronin 4D adds Z-axis control to reduce vertical movement during walking and dolly-style shots. Its advanced sensor fusion—IMU, ToF, dual-vision sensors, and new algorithms—ensures exceptionally stable footage in challenging conditions.

LiDAR Autofocus System:

The integrated LiDAR module projects up to 43,200 ranging points for precise, low-light-capable focusing. Operators can use continuous autofocus, ActiveTrack Pro, or AMF (Automated Manual Focus), which blends autofocus speed with manual control on the handgrip wheel.

Modular DL Lens Ecosystem:

The X9-8K uses DJI’s DL mount and supports lightweight, full-frame prime lenses. Optional PL, Sony E, and Leica M mounts expand compatibility with professional cine lenses, including wide-angle, telephoto, macro, and anamorphic options.

Built-In ND System:

A motorized ND.03–ND2.7 filter range provides fast exposure control during unpredictable outdoor lighting and simplifies run-and-gun production.

Integrated Monitoring & Control:

The kit includes a 5.5″ touchscreen monitor and dual control handgrips for focus, iris, pan/tilt, and menu navigation. A 7″ High-Bright Monitor and wireless video transmitter are available separately for full crew operation.

Media & Workflow:

The Ronin 4D supports ProSSD 1TB recording (included) for RAW capture, CFexpress Type-B, and USB-C direct recording. DJI’s DCCS color science ensures natural skin tones and ACES compatibility for streamlined post-production.
